Martyl Rifkin Reinsdorf was the wife of White Sox chairman Jerry Reinsdorf.

She and Jerry met at George Washington University while they were students and married in 1956.
The pair had four children; Susan, David (deceased), Michael, and Jonathan.
Martyl Rifkin was born on March 4, 1936, in Denver, Colo to Milton and Vivette (Ravel) Rifkin.
Martyl attended Sutherland Elementary School and Morgan Park High School before majoring in Japanese and Chinese History at George Washington University.
She worked for the Defense Department at the Pentagon while in Washington, D.C., and the Department of Agriculture in Chicago.
Martyl designed five of the Bulls’ six NBA championship rings and the Sox’ World Series championship ring in 2005.
Reinsdorf also created and distributed over one million coloring books, crayons, markers and toys to hospitals, orphanages and shelters across the world, including to survivors of Hurricane Katrina, residents of Ronald McDonald Houses, patients at Lurie Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago and Phoenix Children’s Hospital and young vision-impaired patients at The Spectrios Institute for Low Vision (formerly Deicke Eye Center).
She received the 2004 Clarence Troyer Volunteer of the Year Award and was recognized in 2011 by American Friends of Hebrew University with the Torch of Learning Award.
Martyl Reinsdorf died on June 28, 2021, at age 85.
